Programs for High School and Junior High Students:

2005 Summer – Berkeley, California: English Study Tour

Located on the University of California, Berkeley campus

Students who attend Berkeley English Studies Institute are able to learn English from highly trained ESL instructors with Masters Degrees while experiencing the myriad of recreational and cultural activities available in Berkeley and San Francisco. Students have the opportunity to experience the excitement of campus life and interact with both full-time UC Berkeley students and other international students.

2005 Summer – Portland, Oregon: English Study Tour

Portland State University

Students who participate in this program are placed in carefully selected single-placement homestays for maximum English language acquisition opportunities.  Participants experience an activity-centered English language curriculum taught by experienced and trained ESL instructors. 

2005 Summer – Moorhead, Minnesota: English Study Tour

Concordia Language Villages, Concordia College

The Concordia English Language Village takes learning English in a new direction while providing a safe and supportive environment for language learners of all levels, from beginning to advanced.  In the mornings, students learn English in extremely small and interactive classes and in the afternoons, students can attend various activities such as going to the theater or to sporting events.  During the last week of the program students go camping and enjoy activities such as hiking, canoeing, and orienteering.

2005 Summer – Franklin, Massachusetts: English Study Tour

Dean College

Experience the American college life at its best on the campus of Dean College. Dean College enjoys a beautiful location in the peaceful town of Franklin, Massachusetts, midway between Boston and Providence. Students reside and take classes at Dean College with other international students interested in learning English. Afternoon and weekend activities abound with trips to Six Flags Amusement Park, whale watching, and New England beach trips.

2005 Summer – Orlando, Florida: English Study Tour

University of Central Florida

The University of Central Florida campus is the perfect place to learn English and dive into the wonders of Florida.  The school is just outside Orlando, so during the weekends students visit Disney World, Epcot Center, Sea World and many other attractions located nearby. 

2005 Summer – St. Petersburg, Florida: English Study Tour

Eckerd College

The city of St. Petersburg is bordered by Tampa Bay on the east and the Gulf of Mexico on the west. Students live in Eckerd College campus residence halls with adult live-in supervision. Classrooms, a gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts, plus softball and soccer fields are all open for student use.  Weekends are reserved for supervised exploration of Florida’s exciting vacationland. Trips planned may include Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios.

2005 Summer – Malibu, California: English Study Tour

Pepperdine University

The natural beauty, modern facilities and spacious campus of Pepperdine University combine to create an ideal environment for summer English studies. The Pepperdine campus offers swimming in an Olympic-size pool, tennis, racquetball, jogging and aerobics.  Just 30 minutes away lies Los Angeles and its special attractions, including Beverly Hills, Disneyland, Hollywood, miles of inviting beaches and an amazing variety of cultural, entertainment and recreational opportunities.  After morning English classes, students participate in a variety of afternoon activities and excursions to the many fun sites around Malibu.

2005 Summer – Riverdale, New York: English Study Tour

College of Mount St. Vincent

This program is designed for students who plan to attend high school in the USA. Participants will be equipped with specific skills and knowledge that will make their American educational experience more productive and rewarding.  Although academic in focus, students will still partake in a variety of activities and excursions in the New York area.  Some of the excursions include visiting the Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and seeing a Broadway show!

2005 Summer – Monterey, California: English Study Tour

The English Camp Program at the Monterey Bay Academy is open to students who want to pursue English and expand their knowledge of American culture while experiencing life at a private college-preparatory high school in the U.S.  Students in this program have a busy schedule of classes and activities designed to enhance their communication skills in English.

2005 Summer – Seattle, Washington: English Study Tour

The Northwest School

2005 Summer – Vancouver, British Columbia: English Study Tour

Hawthorn - Vancouver

Hawthorn – Vancouver is a member of the Hawthorn English Language Centers Network and is one of the oldest private English language centers in Vancouver. Hawthorn – Vancouver offers a range of General English, Business English, Examination Preparation and Youth Programs. Oxford Brookes University at Wheatley

The campus of Oxford Brookes University at Wheatley offers excellent facilities including sports fields, tennis courts, 9-hole golf course and a student social club with pool table, satellite TV and snack bar. This center is particularly suitable for young teenagers as it offers a safe, self-contained campus location close to Oxford. 2005 Summer – Oxford, United Kingdom: English Study Tour

St. Hugh’s College

Enjoy learning English on the historical and elegant campus of Oxford University. In addition to morning classes, sports afternoons, conducted tours of other University of Oxford Colleges, museums and local places of interest will be arranged during the week. Full day excursions are organized during the weekends, to places such as London, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge and Salisbury. Students will be accompanied by teachers on all excursions. There will also be frequent evening activities such as karaoke, quiz nights, bingo, films and discos.
